So I just had four days in a row of magic the gathering and it was absolutely beautiful. Thursday last week was the usual magic night and sadly my Eluge, Oops all Counters deck was not as annoying and fun as I thought it would be. Though it was still a fun night and I think I even played Myrkul who may not have won but put up a really good fight.

I took Friday and Saturday off last week because it was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle prerelease weekend! I did a tournament Friday at 2p at Tavern of Souls. Not a huge crowd, which works well for me and my anxiety. I pulled a Dark Leo/Shredder and Splinter Radical Rat in my prerelease pack which was a great combo. Won 2 rounds which got me 4 packs in prizes, lost 1, but the guy I lost to was really nice and when I told him I was trying to collect all 4 dice in the set he gave me his! He also gave me a Leo/Raph card when I told him Raph was my favorite and then we traded some rares of which he basically let me have the lion's share!

Friday evening I did my second tournament at Duke City Games and didn't have great pulls but managed to pull off a decent red and white deck that again won me 2 games and four packs. At this point thanks to some trading and the nice guy from earlier I had three of the four dice, Mikey, Raph, and Donny.

Saturday morning was the win a box tournament at Tavern of Souls again. Once more not a huge turn out compared to the number of people at Duke. This time I had no good pulls at all sadly. Still managed to squeak by with two wins, but this time two losses and no prizes since it was only the top player getting a full box of boosters. To add insult to injury, I got a second Donatello die and no one had a Leo at the tournament at all.

Thankfully that night I had a D&D game back at Duke City and one of the employees we're all friends with, David, was nice enough to take my Donny die and found someone at that night's tournament to trade for their LEO!!!! The picture for this post is my four prerelease die with the Turtle Van Bundle box and the ooze die that came with it. It's a silly little thing but it makes me very happy.

Also at D&D the group managed to solve my puzzle I worked so hard on and now have a tiny book written entirely in cipher I devised. It's not a difficult cipher, just something I made to slow them down from learning all the secrets right away.

THEN, Sunday I went up to the east mountains to play more magic with my friends up there. Tira and Next played the four player magic the gathering co-op game with me! Only three of us but we beat the game four times! Each time we increased the difficulty and still persevered. After playing magic against them so often I really liked playing a game as allies. After that we played a game of commander and I tried out the Ninja Turtle preconstruct deck and boy howdy is it powerful. It really packed a punch and was fun to play! I can't wait to unleash them on Thursday.

After all that I was burned out this monday and just sat around on the couch watching tv and playing mindless video games. I'm just jonesing for another hit of magic tomorrow!
